Genuinely curious of your professional opinion. Speaking offence only, this cannot all just be a sole product of KAT leaving? If not what is going wrong?
KAT is shooting 45% from 3, with a 63% TS for the Knicks. I would have to say that losing a *big* who stretches the defense with his shooting completely changes the whole offense, and it's made everything so much harder for everyone
I understand the motive for the trade. Cap flexibility, everyone is shit scared of the 2nd apron. But the whole Gobert trade was made to optimise KAT? A unique offensive force but bad defender. Then 2 seasons later are they willing to part ways? I struggle to believe any GM is that short sighted.
That is a big part for sure, but you're right, it's way more than that. Conley, Naz, Jaden, DDV all shooting well below what they're capable of. Ant now in a big shooting funk himself. And the pieces just don't fit. They don't trust each other like they did last year.
The GM and powers above seem to be gambling everything on Ant taking leaps in every way imaginable, he needs to shoot like Curry, attack the rim like Jordan and pass like Bron. If he doesn’t they wont succeed

not the Wolves, apparently
Randle is good, but he's no KAT
