Uninsured folks can check their local county health department. They'd likely still have to pay, but it could be cheaper than a regular pharmacy or doctor. There may be an income based sliding scale too.

Not necessarily true; my friend didn’t get a second MMR because it wasn’t required when she was a kid. She just looked into a booster and now because she’s no longer a child insurance decided it’s not necessary and she’d have to pay for it in full.

My insurance covered it after a titer test (also covered) revealed I had no immunity to measles. Not everyone's insurance is the same but everyone has the opportunity to appeal insurance's decision.
