1995, the Capri Cinema on Tudor Road in Anchorage. It was open from 1977 to 2000 and was a place to see many risqué, indie, and foreign films that wouldn't play at the larger theaters in town. #alaskahistory #alaska #anchoragehistory

That's a neat detail, thank you! Did you know, in their earlier years, most movie theaters didn't have concessions? Was generally considered messy, lowbrow. But you could often find a popcorn salesman right outside. Even when the 4th Ave Theatre opened in ANC, it didn't offer concessions.
