There are a lot of things that we can get online, books shouldn't really be one of them. Not unless you've exhausted all other avenues.

I travel for work and don't want to drag physical books with me everywhere I go. Online books weigh nothing, go where my phone goes and I can get new ones no matter where I am or what time it is. Let's not demonize easy access to reading.

We also sell ebooks. Or buy from Amazon and don't tell us. Just don't make me work for someone else's sale.

The most common route is through
https://Libro.fm
, but you can always just ask your local bookseller what they recommend.
My understanding is that your local store gets anywhere from 10-30% of the book's cost depending on the publisher, plus a % of the membership fee.
