Dracula's flipper coil is running a bit hot. It started to smell a bit and it was at bit over 100c when I turned it off. I wonder if the hold side transistor shorted. #pinrepair

That seems most likely as that is what the hold was made to prevent. Are the flippers 'boosted'? Meaning, are you bootstraping those extra 5-6 volts onto the flippers for more power. That might be an issue as well. Good luck on repair.
Wasn't the transistor, but semi-functioning end of stroke switch instead. WPC games aren't supposed to burn coil for EOS failure, but apparently if it works like 30-40% of the time, the game doesn't go into compensation mode for it and starts cooking the coil.
