Determine first whether HTS is a radical jihadist organization. While the UN and the EU classify HTS as a jihadist terrorist organization, NYT and other media outlets appear to exonerate these perpetrators, almost portraying them in a favorable light.
They also killed & tortured thousands of Syrian prisoners (and some Americans like Theo Padnos. Yes, they allowed Christians to live... under the law of jiyza.
And remember this is not just a tax. In Islam Christians are to live in a permanent state of humiliation.
Partially correct. Padnos was kidnapped by the Abu Maria al-Qahtani sub-sect of Jabhat an-Nusrah. Qahtani is dead now (for years prior to his death he was affiliated with Ahrah ash-Sharqiyah, not HTS), and Jabhat an-Nusrah is no more.
Again, thanks for the correction. Interesting. In the current Free Press interview with Padnos, he tells about how he has seen some of his guards on TV now as they mill about Al Jolani. Can you imagine. Yikes. He is not without sympathy for them. It's a very good interview.
