It's almost like people shouldn't have been put into this situation in the first place, if only there was a system in place to have people accountable for this preventable threat to life.
You see here, and in every corner of the country, Donald, that climate change is not a scam. You are a scam, but climate emergencies are real, tangible and seen by all. Mass self-delusion has its limits; hopefully more and more will ignore idiocy and see the light.
The media can show us pictures of how fire devastates the environment and no one denies it, but they never showed pictures of how Covid destroys a life and so they denied it.
I’m waiting for the deep dive on those who road out these fires on roofs with garden hoses (some profiled).
With few deaths and so much property loss, are we back to neighbor brigades?
Was staying a smart strategy (if systemed water doesn’t run out)?
Should pools become water reserves?
It would be better is the NYT actually discussed the failings of California and how the super wealthy and their use of water has been a factor. Or that private citizens own the water supply. Which is utter bullshit.
One person has been arrested so far. The 2017 fires were caused by sparks from the wind blowing powerless into each other, and the ground being dried out by climate change
It puts a knot in my throat & a queasiness in my stomach. I thankfully did not experience this, yet I feel I did when viewing the images & videos. I feel most deeply for the lives of good people & animals affected & lost. It hurts. To have someone & his acolytes casting lies & insults infuriates me.
You know I own a company and if my company loses money I have to deal with that. I may not make a profit that particular year but I made profits in the past that I put back into my company the insurance Companies
Should do the same thingThey take trillions of dollars in profits. Now put it back.
You do know that when we had a surplus of social security in the sixties and seventies They took the money and built resorts And called it helping the other countries economies They also pay The players that play a game they love to play too much money too When is enough enough
They should file class actions along suit against the city of LA and the state of California for the criminal intent, and criminal negligence endangering the public
