The New York attorney general, Letitia James, warned hospitals that denying transgender care to comply with President Trump’s order could violate state law.

Implanting puberty-blocking devices into children sounds like child abuse. Psychologists can psycho-babble anything creepy into sounding articulate and sane, and how is altering hormones for these purposes considered good health care?
Puberty blockers temporarily prevent teenagers from going through the permanent process of puberty that could leave them with lifelong depression and high risk of suicide due to body dysmorphia and inability to fulfill the gender identity they are.
Executive orders do not hold legal precident in law
They're basically just wishlists for the current administration that hold no ground as long as people don't comply
People cannot get in trouble for not complying with an executive order
The executive order hasn’t taken effect yet. Langone would not be violating any federal law or rule by continuing to serve their trans patients today, but they *voluntarily* chose to withhold that care immediately after the EO was issued. That voluntary action is what NY State is taking issue with.
Ah, so you have to make up your own definitions to fit your narrative?
I thought y'all were against changing definitions
Anyway, that definition is neither useful, nor applicable here, as there are no delusions involved
If there are, you need to provide a definition for that, too
Believing that you are a sex different than your body and trying to modify your body to match that delusion, especially when you're a child, is insane. The practitioners who do this are monsters.
2, no, trans people do not think we are a different "sex" (in the simplest forme of the word)
We are aware of our bodies and capabilities
So again, not delusion
And no, the practitioners who do this are following the scientific data
And remind those that each State has a right to enforce or enact a law or policy under the 10 Amendment, in which the Federal Government has no legal jurisdiction.

Elections have consequences 🤬
"Smidgeon"
I learned a new word today, thankii :3
Because, 1, I assure you, medical intervention does not fall under the definition of mutilation
And, 2, children aren't (or are VERY rarely) getting surgeries
Ps, being trans doesn't interfere with sexuality?
I (a trans woman) am in a gay relationship with my girlfriend
