And the "entertainers" could not care less. They know that these young people are foolishly overspending on tickets and merch just so the "entertainers" can enjoy fame and obscene wealth. It's called moral bankruptcy.
It’s bc there’s no viable local music scene anymore, which is sad bc large pop shows are no replacement for the community and social opportunities of a local music scene.

Artists set the prices. TM charges ridiculous fees but the main ticket price is absolutely up to the promoters, managers, and ultimately the artist, should they care enough to get involved. Most just feign ignorance at this part & are happy to let TM take the blame.
She has tickets that are affordable. The VIP joints are a bit much. But Ticketmaster and the re-sellers are the ones ruining it for the majority of budget shoppers. Just speaking from my own experience. 🕉️
But at least they get to experience watching live performers on giant video walls lip sync and mime while energetically executing the insipid choreography of a Division lll marching band.
