President Trump’s administration has officially expelled South Africa’s ambassador to the U.S., a spokesman for the South African president said on Saturday, calling the decision “regrettable.”

Snowflakes?
This in itself doesn’t seem like a consequential development, although I’m not an expert.
It does show the ongoing “pettiness” of this administration.
Whether it is this, Zelensky/Ukraine, the press… they can’t handle any criticism.
Immaturity leads to their dreaded… snowflakes.
Trump is manifestly ignorant of apartheid. And he doesn’t care. He monitors what anyone says about him and sends out his people to shut them down. Not America First. Trump First.
Instead of challenging any criticism of himself, with the truth, Trump bullies, lashes out, threatens, retaliates and denigrates. His reality is confined to his broken brain.
South Africa supports Russia and make exercises with the Russian armed forces. Russia has "bought" influence in a lot of African nations. South Africa is just one of them. On the other hand Trump and his minions are bad for the World too. This gives off mixed feelings.
Russia is occupying the place left by France in the Sahel. It adds up to the little interest of the US in teh Sahel region. France and Spain have performed poorly in the region and it is out of control. Russia is luring the governments of Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. And it's a successful bet
Trump is not the main problem.
The 77 million base voters is the problem.
The dead-letter-literal-interpretation of the Bible evangelical white nationalists is the problem.
The anti-abortion anti-gay anti-immigration etc., is the problem.
Jim Crow 2.0 voting laws is the problem
Anti-science problem.
This administration is the guy at the poker table with the big stack and just keeps playing the worst cards like they are pocket aces...u might win a few hands but odds say you will be busted soon. But then he'll say cheaters!
If America expelled every ambassador that thought Trump was an idiot I'm not sure there'd be an ambassadors in the country, even the Russian one would have to be packing his bags.
You do know, that South Africa supports Russia and make exercises with the Russian armed forces? Russia has "bought" influence in a lot of African nations.
They might as well kick out every ambassador.
Every country hates America and trump right now, with the exception of Russia, Hungary and North Korea, the countries Trump admires and fawns over.
Haha,It definitely sounds like something out of a sci-fi story! The idea of someone like Musk in that position would definitely shake things up.It’s interesting to think about how different leadership styles can impact diplomacy and international relations What do you think would change the most.
The Republican fascists are unsurprisingly on the side of European immigrant whites and their persecution of black Africans. This pisses me off. Moving to Africa to escape fascism in America would be much easier if they didn't think we were all racist pieces of shit like donny trump.
Mmm, suspect this was endorsed behind the scenes by Elon Musk aka the #NaziAfrikaner whose family’s wealth prospered under previous #apartheid regime (allegedly 😉)?
Whatever it is, I don’t understand how Elon got to control United States , he wasn’t even born and raised in the USA, he left South Africa to avoid military service. Elon really should be treated as a human Kaspersky spyware and have him removed immediately.
SA has earned its non grata status in what they say and what they fail to say. A deep bitter resentment of Afrikaner days remains due to the fact that Blacks totally mismanage the economy and mo stinging w corruption.
When it comes to free speech the United States is the biggest hypocrite in the world, JD Vance is going around the world trying to tell other countries how it's done while it's dead in the United States.
So, in addition to taking America back to Jim Crow, MAGA also thinks South Africa should go back to Apartheid. Gosh, I wonder who gave Trump that idea?
What is the point in having any ambassador in the US when - under Trump - there is no room for discussion. You are just told what you have to do and if you don't you will be expelled. This is how a dictatorship operates and it is always led by the most ignorant person in the nation.
While it may seem that discussions are limited, ambassadors can often find ways to engage in dialogue, build networks, and influence policy behind the scenes.Their presence can be vital for maintaining international relations and ensuring that their country's voice is heard, even in difficult times.
That is why they are called diplomats. At this point in time those leaders who come to the US to talk to Trump only do so because they are diplomats. After they leave they do what is best of their nation and the fact is, all nations are working together leaving the US out.
It’s true that many leaders may engage with the US out of necessity, but they often return to their countries with a focus on what benefits their own nations. It raises questions about the future of global diplomacy and how nations will adapt to these changes.
Before, western governments were fighting racism now you are expelled if you don’t share Trump’s racism.
That went downhill quickly - almost as fast as the Trump stock market.
This is staggering. When governments expelled diplomats they simply don’t like we are in very dangerous territory. Is America trying to lose all its friends?
It's time for all countries to order the US ambassadors to leave and they should round up all American citizens and either deport them or send them back in chains like America is doing.
I'm an American but I wouldn't hold it against any country to do exactly that. What the madman Trump is doing is disgraceful. My grandparents came here in search of a better life and found it. Now his fascist racist administration is not only closing our doors, they are alienating the world. Shame!

Apparently the third graders running our administration don't think so.
Does anyone remember the movie "The Front"? I'm considering renting myself out as a spokesperson for any non-US citizen who has something to say.
That's it...

We aren't far from that now.
