By combining their home console and handheld divisions into one system, Nintendo no longer has a fallback if a wacky creative choice is poorly recieved. At least until we know what kind of handhelds Sony and MS make, if any at all. It may be when they start making handhelds, Nintendo goes back to a standardized console.

Yeah I think it makes sense for backwards compatibility and it's sure to do well. I never bought a Switch so I know I'm going to get this one and have a blast catching up on all the games I missed out on plus whatever they make next.

I agree. I do hope they bring back some of the Nintendo charme from earlier consoles though. I miss alot from the 3ds, like the themes and little animations and music for the menu. And the detailed activity. Also I want more wacky Mii minigames.

I think there is such a thing as trying too hard to be creative. The Switch is a cool system and I think the only thing you can really do with it is just improve the tech on it to run bigger games. You can tell some games took a graphical hit to run on Switch.
