Went through this over the weekend getting Steam running on Linux Mint on my laptop. I was SO happy when I managed to get my first game running at over 60FPS.
Gaming have became better with the years, I remember that 8 years ago was impossible to play games at a stable amount of FPS or without crashing, now the experience it's basically out of the box
Yeah! people complain a lot about Retroarch (understandably so) but it made emulation so easy and straightforward for like 99% of old games.
I remember dealing with plugin setups on PS1 and PS2 emulators also literally praying that they would recognize the gamepad i was using when setting them up
It's super cool. I just wish I had the oled one. Hero launcher is another thing I'd recommend. Let's you sign in and play games from gog and Epic. Emulating on the steamdeck goes so hard that one of the showcases for it had Yuzi on it 🤣
Recuerdo cuando compré una Wii sin juegos. Solo la usaba para jugar GameCube. Un día me enteré que se podía desbloquearlo y hackear, estuve todo el día pero lo logré. Que feliz era.
Congrats! Hacking your game products is so satisfying and feels like some hidden wisdom when you get it right like "I learned this from the revered Bulbasauce251, passed down through countless forum posts and links, preserving their sacred DIY tutorial from 2017."

Once the SD card is formatted for Linux its kinda tricky to open it on Windows, so a flashdrive is needed.
