I was surprised to learn, visiting the DCRs in Copenhagen in 2019 that 80% of their injections involved cocaine (not always on its own)

Shouldn't be a surprise now; cocaine is cheaper and purer, heroin more expensive and adulterated. & injecting cocaine is better bangs for bucks than smoking crack

In the paper we emphasise that 'SDCF design should not, therefore be based on assumptions that the majority of use will be opioids ... [but] address changing trends in terms of substances consumed and modes of administration.'
