Candidates have an obligation to court voters and not simply assume their record speaks for itself — but this is one of my concerns

One lesson Dems might learn is that spending precious political capital on stimulus, infrastructure, etc. isn’t worth it and instead they should wage culture wars

I hate the logic in this but can't deny the plausibility that it's 100% correct. The idea that Dems may genuinely have to play 'their game' in order to win elections is so frustrating but a progressive agenda will never be possible if they don't win.

I think we need to find a way to do both, or at least some version of a culture war. When almost half are resistant or willfully blind to facts and the next four years is going to a hellscape of lies and throwing the proletariat to the proverbial lions, how do we even start getting through.

The problem is, Democrats have lost the culture war. Our society is "Anti-woke". Poll after poll shows the American public WANTS mass deportation, WANTS trans rights striped away, WANTS DEI eliminated, etc. Democrats culture points are just not popular unfortunately.
