I’ve thought of a few story ideas in such a setting. Think about how different animals would react… I can see a monster of the week type of thing as they meet other humanthropes.

Honestly I'd love to see media that takes a look at humanity from a non human point of view. Even fantasy with it's dozen of intelligent species always ends up being centered around humans.

I feel that a pet animal becoming therianthrope would create comedy, where as a wild animal woild be more dramatic. Familiarity with society allows a limited understanding versus it being totally alien.
