It's honestly kinda odd that so many gamers are right wing weirdos because I feel like the inherent flaws of capitalism are more visible in game development than in most other art forms.

Because GamerGate was about sexually frustrated men being gleeful at receiving instructions to attack a woman. Those men are lead to hate *anything* because of their sad dicks and refusal to change their sad lives through actual introspection and therapy when the echo chamber validates them NOW.
Misses the point. Capitalism is bad for the people *who make games*, but the average reactionary gamer sees those people as, at best, defective servants who constantly fuck up their pure, perfect gaming experience with bugs and woke and not balanced and too hard and who deserve their poor treatment.
