Spokane has been on our list as a potential place to relocate. We like South Hill area. Hearing about and experiencing the traffic downtown and North isn’t appealing. But close to family and medical centers is important to us.

I am from Boise and there are a lot of differences here. Spokane is more dirty, with less thought toward the future. The pros are people aren’t really moving here like they are to Boise.
The traffic issue should be done when the north-south freeway opens, but that’s 2028.
We are long-time, retired Boise residents. Just thinking about possibilities outside of Idaho. Our kids & other family are in Washington. Spokane is more affordable than western Washington and within a couple hours of family. Over the next year or so, we might be more interested in leaving Idaho.
Definitely come here first - the city itself is not great. There are some nice areas though, especially if you want to stay in WA: Liberty Lake, Cheney, etc. I'd probably rather live in CDA before Spokane though.

We are covered by Washington state decisions here, but culturally this is very much Idaho.
