I get that, but it’s BAD here right now. I’m so depressed. And it’s been so hard to deal with it when I need to work with CMs to coordinate my sister’s disability accommodations when getting on and off attractions.

It’s been a really rough trip 😕 just had the rudest CM on Haunted Mansion. We were about to board and I had a question for the CM about my sister before she stepped onto the moving platform. The cast member snapped at me, never answered my question, and I just broke down emotionally on the ride.

HM CMs are usually in character and can come off as rude, maybe they didn’t realize? I find it hard to communicate with load CMs most of the time. They got a lot going on. Sorry that happened though.

I can’t speak for anyone, but given how grim the world is rn thanks to the outcome of the election, I can’t exactly blame them tbh. Probably a lot of them realize what’s coming and they know they’re about to get screwed over financially.

Yeah well, that’s the U.S. in general rn. I mean these CMs still aren’t earning livable wages, they can’t afford to buy a house or even rent an apartment on their own, some of them don’t even have a place to live, prices are insane, and probably angry guests are not helping morale either :/

Sorry to hear this continues. Maybe there is something to the timing (holidays). I had 21 days this yr w/great CM interaction. But that was pre election.

The CM demo is likely feeling the stress & uncertainty that many are feeling w/the current political climate. Not an excuse but likely reality.

And just to add, I don’t think CMs are as bad as you’re describing. I think you’ve just been incredibly unlucky plus the time of year, plus uncertainty about the future of the country. Nazis have marched at the Hotel Plaza Blvd. entrance of WDW multiple times recently. This is just insane.

It’s not just a WDW thing. It’s a country wide thing right now. People are just shot right now. I ran into as a bartender last night where someone thought I was trying to give them a hard time when I was just doing my job. We’re all just trying to get by in the current landscape.

This is simply an assumption made comparing multiple pre and post Covid experiences, a lot of long term and quality cast members didn’t return after Covid and those that did or new ones who joined post Covid dealt with cost cutting, large crowds, and pandemic stress with less cast members.

- Majority of Tourist are ill-informed assholes who lash out like self-absorbed babies

- “Hell Week” (Christmas - NYE) is the busiest of the yr. It once was only a week. Nowadays, it starts week before Christmas, runs 3-4 wks till marathon

- CMs are tired after abuse
