Us leftists lack the blind confidence of the right and we actually understand the stakes so I think lots of us are very good at defensive pessimism.

I'm anxious too because it's still close and the stakes are so high - but hoping all the reasonable signs leading in were right.

It’s still too soon since 2019 for us not to be nervous. I think I’m waiting for the fat lady to sing (or for Antony Green to declare Liberals are doomed).
