I would not agree totally. From your point of view maybe. But if you ever had the chance to talk to a woman who suffered having small tits or who has silicone due to cancer, you will change your mind. Her body, her choice. And if an breast augmentation helps to feel better, why not. But I also ...
You're right... When there's a medical reason, obviously it's a good thing...
But this "I feel better or nicer with my new boobs" trend is just BS motivated by commerce. And I do believe people are victims and it won't solve a thing... But the surgeon is rich now...
I met several women who did not feel as a woman due to very small breasts. They did not go to the swimming hall, did not wear tight cloths,... And an augmentation helped them, improved their life. Nothing to say against that.
But I fully agree that not every surgery increases the optical appearance
I'm also aware of this but to me, surgery is not a solution. It's a societal issue: "the beauty standard tyranny". I know it's real but the solution is not to "buy" new boobs. The solution is to fight against the real cause, the dictatorship of beauty and as togs we can play a part in it...
For example, I usually don't work with fake boobs models because I don't want to promote this. On the contrary I often highlight small breasts models and make beauty of it.
I also don't like this "tattoo" trend and remove all tattoos I can from my shots. I don't want to promote this either...
