Sadly it should have been stopped commercially years ago. Stopping households is a different matter and problematic. Could do with particulate capture devices that can be incorporated into household chimneys!

If EM is serious about cleaning up UK power then surely these subsidies won't get extended. Debatable if Green H2 is really most realistic / economic alternative (vs more wind, solar, batteries & back up CCGT) but shipping wood overseas to burn here is not the future.
