P47 likely thought he would have an easier time erasing trans people (who are just just a stepping stone, for him, to the next group); luckily, trans folks and many supporters have had no compunction about saying 🖕to P47.

That is encouraging to hear. I know trans people are one of the last groups needing another kick while they’re down so I hope you’re right that more are finding the strength to stand up in the self-worth they deserve to have and saying 🖕to 47
I hope so too. My dearest friend & her family, both brilliant, community enhancing, warm people are selling everything to get their kids out of here. Trans folks are just people. People w hopes, dreams, desires, struggles just like all of us.

Thing is, virtually nobody cast their vote based on animus against trans people; price of eggs (🙄), yes; 'he hates Dems, ergo I vote for him', yes; but *actual* trans animus is low (despite loud voices by a very few, just think PB's + OK's)

And it's all just a power play on his part...hell, even he doesn't *actually* have a problem w/ trans people; Caitlin Jenner and that other gal are regulars at MaL. But he wants to show people how, 'powerful' he is...f***ing bastard 😡
