If I'm remembering right, Remer. Very infamous Nazi. One of the major godfathers of the modern hard right in Germany.

At the time, historians and commentators were writing big pieces about how (nearly) all the Nazis were dead, the death of Nazism, blah blah. (Aptly ignoring their influence and that the Nazis are still with us.) Spurring the song.
