Just wanted to thank you for sharing beauty in these ugly times. Owls have fascinated me since I was a wee kid when I watched a tootsie pop commercial yonks ago - odd genesis for my fascination and respect but hey I’ve come a long way.
Owls are so badass! Had one living on roof cubby for a while. At night sometimes it would fly over and you couldn't hear it; you would just see a silhouette of stars disappearing.

Perfect? In my evolutionary biology classes, I learned that any organism that exists today is as "successful" as any other. But the owl does speak to human aesthetics of beauty. Hint: it's not the owl, it's our nervous system that makes the owl beautiful (unless you're a mouse).
