All the things we take as "eternal history" aren't that old. Canada didn't even have its own charter of rights and freedoms until 1982. History is constantly happening and evolving. Nothing is static.

On this day in 1965, the new Maple Leaf Flag was raised at Parliament Hill for the first time.
