So far I’m very early into the book, but here are some thoughts:
The necromantic Pharaoh-like rulers of the Usmai are so cool, and I adored the details of how the current ruler’s petrified eyes affected not just his eyesight but gave him a slow stone lung etc too! I love realism in fantastic stuff
