does this scene from Sonic and the Secret Rings imply that Sonic is staying at an undisclosed house temporarily (let's say: in Tails' house), or is it an excuse to have the plot move forward?

I was wondering if Sonic was crashing by a random house or something. 🤔

I suppose Tails and Amy do have homes, as does Big, and Vanilla's family. Perhaps Rouge as well? The Chaotix do have an office, the Babylon rogues have the blimp, Eggman keeps building bases, and of course Blaze has a palace. Can see the rest of the cast being wanderers (Knuckles just stands guard)

It’s its own thing! Through if it has to fit within a usual organization, it would probably fall under marketing and brand, but also a mix of game development?

Gotcha, that's really interesting though. I've kinda set the goal aside for now as I work through university/gain foundational experience, but I still dream of officially contributing to Sonic someday haha
