I'm always intrigued by people who like to state that #NYR's record with Rempe in the lineup is great.
This season, they are 4-3-0 with him in the lineup.
TOI in the 4 wins: 7:37, 5:32 (DAL ejection), 7:47, 6:32
TOI in 3 losses: 3:40, 5:01, 9:26
I like him, but his impact is greatly overblown.

1) NYR were a President's Trophy team that had a fun kid playing on the 4th line.
2) Rempe was *the* difference maker and propelled them to a President's Trophy
You're going to a bar where a fight might break out. Are you bringing you 6'7", 225 lb buddy who likes to bang? Or the friend who hides in the corner at the first loud noise?
But Rempe also needs to keep his damn elbow down.
If you want to use him to sell tickets, fine. But don’t pretend he can play hockey at this level.
But his impact is wildly overblown. He is serviceable as a 12/13F that can develop and solidify a permanent spot, but not a game breaker.
I don’t think he’s an NHLer. He’s a project. So I think it makes zero actual hockey sense to keep him up here playing 6 minutes a night
…unless the point is just selling tickets
