I’m a lawyer advising on GPSR at the moment (literally) and I took a call from an SME last week who had been blindsided by the looming implementation of GPSR. Even some large corporates are still grappling with the issues, particularly around labelling and having an EU responsible person.

I can't seem to find ANY clear information about it. I sell prints, books and original art and a few of these get sent to the EU each year (20 items?). Surely I don't need to prove that paper is safe or a book is safe? This is what I can't find out, whether it's for companies or individuals

Having had a major issue with shipping to ROI a couple of years ago, I can see it being massive. Potentially NI ends up in limbo as it’s offshore to both the U.K. and EU.

Most couriers don’t/can’t manage the headache either.

I have a question about the EU responsible person:
Before GPSR, most products already had to comply with various specific directives and contingent CE marking.
And the 1st importer to 🇪🇺 was responsible for ensuring the requirement was met. So, didn’t these issues mostly already exist?
