while a pan-sarbecovirus vaccine is a notable goal, the claim of it being the 'holy grail' is exaggerated, as vaccine development is an ongoing process with new variants emerging, making it unlikely a single vaccine will be a definitive solution.

There are always superlatives in such news, and it's unfortunate because it raises expectations too high. In principle, a pan-serbecovirus should take care of variants as such vaccines are developed against regions (sequences of proteins) of the virus that do not mutate much.

This is great news if we could get a vaccine that could cover mutable variants, we could stop this in its tracks. I have taken every booster and believe in science and know that without vaccines 85% of people wouldn’t live past 45
