So a boycott still hurts Canada more than their US company headquarters.
One government fix, make sure US companies are taxed at the same rate they pay in the US - $0 from Canadian operations should go to the IRS, especially now.
Boycotts that hurt local badly (employees and local suppliers) where the US company in question won’t even notice? Maybe not worth it.
We should buy Canadian products, but we need to be conscious of how we’re affecting our own workers and products too, this is going to be hard enough as it is, let’s not attack ourselves and make it worse. Every latte you buy in Canada is made with Canadian milk, served by a Canadian.
