I just checked my riding on this website and https://smartvoting.ca and because the polls are a 3 way split (Liberal, NDP, and Green even), they each tell me to strategically vote for a different party. I fear this confusion is going to allow the Conservatives to win in my riding.

I wish we could convince progressive candidates to collaborate and preemptively withdraw any less-likely-to-win candidates from running, so that vote-splitting won’t get the conservative candidate elected.

My local conservative MP is utterly embarrassing, and that is saying something in Alberta.

I suggested to both progressive candidates known so far to consider withdrawing (as in ‘reflecting’!) or to reach out to one another and work out who needs to step down. Not holding my breath!

I live in a conservative-held (considered ‘safe’) riding.
We will likely have 2-3 progressive candidates running against the conservative. Even if NDP and Liberal each get 30%, the conservative will still win at 40%. We either get one of the progressives to withdraw, or we need to unite the +vote.
