Writing can be so therapeutic for dealing with pain and trauma. I've finally stopped crying about things randomly, but writing about them and choosing to sift through those feelings again helps so much with properly dealing with it. Definitely recommend journaling if you're having a rough time.

Sometimes it feels like spilling out the festering negativity bottled inside onto another medium to contain it so you don’t have to.

It's just like how wounds need to be cleaned and disinfected.
It might cause us a lot of pain, but only then can our wounds truly recover.
Five years ago I had a rough time at work and wrote my feelings down as a disguise of a story and drawings. It actually really helped me to summarize what's frustrating and bothering me. I also could reflect better and slowly change.x3
Keeping a journal is a really good way to regain your emotions. Whenever I encounter problems or difficulties, I will adjust myself through writing.
It brings back emotions and makes me feel it’s ok to let out.

I love the concept of journaling but my acquired ND things make that complicated
Then again, I'm at a different point in the trauma than most
A sort of void zone between western society and war zones
But here if you want a sounding board or promts
Writing down thoughts or feelings can help with reorganising the mess of emotions in our brain.
When I was small, I would write some negative thoughts or sad things on a paper and throw it away when I think I have settled my feelings or find my way.

Also, writing/typing those thoughts or feelings out can help me to know more about myself on what I am worrying so I can take more care of myself based on the root sources / problems.
