This is really clear and easy to understand - the visualisation really puts into perspective how little referrals have actually risen and how badly the GICs have failed to provide care at a reasonable level of capacity. It's very clearly a mess made by their own incompetence.

I was initially assigned to Leeds GIC, and their website explained they had a budget for 27 people per month... but were getting over 100 referrals per month.
Is it any surprise we're seeing GIC's unable to cope with the demand... and govt doing nothing to address it!

The entire system is crap - the gatekeeping model is bottlenecking everything. An informed consent model would whittle through the wait list. It is insane that they cling to such an outdated model of care. It would be cheaper to get rid of the gatekeeping and would improve the wait time.

(But we all know they will resist this at every turn, because it means making transition easier and that's the opposite of their intentions. They would rather the waitlist pile up than confront that their entire model is outdated, discriminatory, and inefficient.)

I was fortunate to take part in one of the three trial GIC's.
The Indigo GIC (Manchester) operated on a 'Primary Care' basis, with five regular GP's donating one day a week for transcare.
I had two assessments, diagnosis and HRT in my hands in just 18 weeks!

I have heard almost nothing but good things about Indigo GIC! I am on the Leeds GIC waitlist but unfortunately I don't live in Greater Manchester so couldn't be transferred over to Indigo. I didn't know about the structure of 5 GPs donating a day a week for trans care - that's really interesting.

I’m not au fait with Looker but I am in Power BI and R studio, can probably load stats in SQL and create anything you want, let me know if you want some help.

Amongst other things to do with medical data I provide graphs to explain things.

From what I can see so far, Power BI and Looker are similar - Im only using looker because Ive already got my stuff in google sheets and its easily publishable (so far) on the interwebs.

Understood but yea hit me up if you want anything, for my home energy stats (battery,solar, EV charging, gas, elec) I have scripts that pull all the CSV’s into SQL then power BI to refresh and output charts, you can always export to PDF etc and upload to a website.
