The beating heart of transmasculine oppression is the belief that manhood and masculinity is only about power, and it is an inherently patriarchal belief because that is the set of beliefs the patriarchy forces.

"what a man is" is created by society as much as "what a woman is" it can literally be anything. It is also not just given to everyone, because the patriarchy can only work if "what a man is" is only given to a few, it is denied to some and promised to others, but the promise is always broken.
If it is believed that manhood or masculinity is power, then what does transmasculinty mean? It can only mean a desire for power under that rubric, and that is why someone historically can literally call themselves a man and not be believed.
It can never be that there is something desirable about being masculine or a man, because there is nothing else to being a man or masculine according to those people.
If there is nothing else to being a man or masculine, then someone who supposedly chooses that when they had other options can only do it for power. So they are either doing it to combat the patriarchy, or, they are monsters only interested in power over others.
