Re: Gonzaga, the WCC may be stronger than usual, but the last time the 2nd-best team was 49th or worse at KenPom was 2014, when the Zags earned an 8-seed after a 10-3 non-con. We'll see if the added depth offsets the lack of a chance at a "marquee" win over a highly rated SMC or BYU squad.

Its a shame Ham's career will go down because of this. I do think its a bigger NIL problem. Clearly its why coaches like Larrañaga have left.. People are mad at Hubert Davis now - but UNC's NIL situation is a mess. NIL is still a wild west.

"It's more common than people think, even at power-conference schools," said one lawyer, re: schools not coming through on NIL promises.

Even without signed contracts there's a chance the players win. BUT: the "deals" might have been explicitly tied to pay-for-play, which could complicate matters.
