There are now only 2 Labor voters for every 1 Greens voter in Australia. Ten years ago the ratio was 4 to 1. Crazy, massive, general shifts very few people with a platform are remotely equipped to explain or report on.

Yeah, you just know most of the coverage is going to be around the Coalition + 2pp rather than that a decent portion of Labor's vote has gone away from the major parties entirely (and this is just continuing a long-running trend!)

Totally - 2PP feels necessary because majority of seats are still Labor v Coalition but that is becoming less and less common, and it masks the collapse in primary vote of both. Could be first election where Greens + Ind vote beats a major party’s primary. Pretty significant

as long as Labor dont go back to the disaster socialism of Whitlam they will be right - say all the Labor 'hard men', (who have overseen consistent declines in Labors primary vote for decades)

They couldn't even dream of the sort of primary vote Whitlam got losing to Fraser
