language -easily learnt
culture - assimilated within a generation or less
history - personal history is individual, national history is part of culture

It isn't that clear, Shane MacGowan was born in England but I would never have called him English, I would tweak your statement to be 'If you are born in England, you have the right to call yourself English'.

When you are on European soil, any one of 46 countries to be precise, regardless of where your nationality the ECHR protects your human rights. Braverman wants to remove this. She's not worth listening to.
