Feeling 100% better now.
I could have had my meds on the 19th but Optum thinks I need to use their slow ass mail pharmacy and blocked my in person refills.
Often times you can opt out of mail order! tbh it ought to be illegal the way they just shut down your coverage and tell you to go to mail order in the first place. A lot of the time the rejection doesn’t even specify even on the pharmacy end so we have to guess based on experience :/
Next time this comes up I'm calling them and telling them that my meds are so cheap out of pocket that paying for them beats using their service and getting covered
when i was using optumrx years ago they were on the same shit. i couldnt get my antipsychotics or mood stabilizers for more than 3 months once because they lost it in the mail and STILL wouldnt let me fill in person 🙃
yeahh, they rely on people not actually opting out of the service again after they put a stop on you filling at your preferred pharmacy after like 90 days.
usually just a matter of phone tag with the customer service people which can be its own frustration

My meds are cheaper AND more likely to be in stock by just not using the insurance, it's obscene
