Indigenous tribes wasted stuff all the time, they drove entire herds of buffalo off cliffs wildly unsustainably, they wiped out multiple fur bearing species from regions for the fur trade

Who was buying all the furs? Until the Europeans showed up, that fur trade didn't exist. The herds were driven off cliffs only when there was no other alternative. It isn't a coincidence that the bison died out after contact, not before
There is no culture in all human history, worldwide, ever, without crime, greed, waste, overpopulation, exploitation, etc. Because we all have 99.99% the same DNA minus some melanin and hair colors etc., and the ssme motives and nature
You might enjoy reading more about the Pre-Columbian civilizations and nations. Their life was heavily influenced by the Europeans; this is not saying all Indigenous peoples were singing around campfires.
I'm not sure your point. There weren't enough people before to have a market for mass industrial greed. There WOULD have been in a couple hundred years all on their own anyway, but there weren't yet. The instant there were that many people early due to Europeans: they exploited like everyone else.
Mexico City had approximately 150-200K people in 1519. The Spaniards were shocked at how big their city was...disease eliminated a lot of Indigenous peoples too.
Of course there was an alternative, they drove them off cliffs to make mass amounts of pemmican to sell. They didn't have to be rich, but they did because cash $$$$. They were just as quick to put industrial greed over ecology or sustainability for a buck as the Europeans at the first opportunity.
And when did money come into play...hmm...
That's right, after colonisation!
Had they not been colonized it wouldn't have happened and you quite literally proved it
