A lot of the AI voices in Mecha Break, even if they claim that it will have human voice acting in the final, sound very VERY much like certain colleagues and seem clearly trained on them. This is pretty on par with what I was expecting sadly. Both them and Wargaming have used "Ai voices" as place holders and I trust neither company to remove them in public facing builds.

Given how deeply weird the team chat in Mecha Break can get, it's Almost, Almost, a mercy.

A lot of the pew pew fest games in that vein re doing it, and I wouldn't be surprised if VA's are getting screwed all over. It looks like the go to solution for a arena combat game ala World of Tanks, Mechabreak etc.

Even if Mecha break is the worst offender by far I know of.

Wargamings Project CW currently has AI voices in place of real VA's for the Alpha, they're insisting that real VA's will be hired. Still feels weird and honestly turned me off the game despite quite enjoying the Alpha's I've played.

i'm deeply frustrated by this, in part because The Finals has proven to me that nobody cares as long as the gameplay is Good Enough. i don't know what to do about it, but it hurts
