You don't "leave" a surplus. It doesn't carry over to the next year. The spend starts at 0 each fiscal year and can either be more than the budget (deficit) or less than the budget (surplus) then it starts over again the next year.
He didn't leave anything. He did, however, increase the debt every year he was in office. He also repealed 75 years of banking regulations that led directly to the s&l crash 10 years later.

They're not separate entities anymore, and we should stop using the term MAGA. It just takes focus away from the actual party involved.
Same with blaming DOGE for cuts. They're all Republican cuts.

Debt and deficit are not the same thing. Clinton didn't "leave" a surplus as the budget is an annual value. The national debt has only gone down 6 times in US history and during Clinton wasn't one of those times. Even as a percentage of GDP it didn't go down.

Debt is a real problem, convicted felon Trump just isn't doing anything that will actually help that problem.
