Not true.

The Liberal Party has won enough HoR seats on 3 occasions that could have allowed it to form government in its own right; 1975, 1977, and 1996. It has also won exactly half of the available HoR seats on two occasions.

Yes but because of the arrangement the Liberal Party has/had with the National Party. It doesn’t change that fact that the Liberals could have governed on their own, without the Nationals in a coalition, had they chosen not to abide by the agreement.
