Labour are doing what the Tories did.

They're going for easy wins from people who they think can't fight back.

I would suggest it's time to remind ourselves - and Labour - how many disabled people there in the UK and how many TACTICALLY VOTED...

Before they decide to use disability as fodder!

Cutting benefits doesn’t fix the issue with employment. Lack of access to reasonable adjustments. Sterotypes from employers limiting opportunities. You know. That sort of thing.

I'd love to be well enough to work. Unfortunately, the likelihood of that happening is incredibly small. I would like to think that even though I can't work, my life is worth something, but the government doesn't seem to see it that way.

I agree with you, I worked until I was hit by a car as a pedestrian while I was working and it affected my ability to work anymore. I do believe my life matters too, I have adult children and grandchildren who I love and want to see them grow into adults.

The part you are missing is the economic burden of tariffs, that will result in white collar lay offs(when businesses can not afford to maintain much less grow their businesses).

Those Engineers, Project Managers, Accountants will also be competing(with disabled persons) to work at coffee shops.

I have hired handicapped. I have worked with companies that only employee people from jails. It works in some cases, but the idea 1000 white applicants were turned down and we continue to run this job. Short of people is on the previous administration for this DEI initiative
