From what I understand Trump backed off tariffs bc the bond marketed plummeted as Japan, our largest debt holder, and China started selling our debt. China is holding a sword over our heads. Never thought I’d be rooting for China but SOMEBODY has to show Trump how the world works or we’re cooked

Well, of all of the nut jobs that Trump has in his cabinet on trade, Bessent was the most reasonable & the most responsive to the cataclysm that Trump unleashed. I read that he alone talked Trump off the cliff. Now he’s leaving? If he goes, we’re left with God knows what else! We’re in big trouble!
