Whatever. The biggest miscarriages are when a middling UNC, Indiana, or WVU get in over a 25 win mid-major team, not when one big conference team with meh conference and season records gets in over another.
WVU and Indiana both put up bagels in their confernece tourney. WVU couldn't beat 16 seed Colorado who won 13 games. Indiana was never in the game against 8 seed Oregon. If you're on the bubble you gotta win, and UNC won twice in the ACCT and gave Duke a hell of a game.
I mean confernece tourney isn't the only differentiator in their decision. UNC was higher in NET, WAB, and NCSOS. I hate UNC but they were the right pick.
Facts don't care about feelings. They also were ahead of them in WAB, NET, and NCSOS. I hate UNC with a passion, but if all you want to look at is Quad 1 record you're being myopic.
Hard to fathom how they’re ignoring every metric that they’re supposed to go by for these takes. “Quads” are just a single stat that make up part of a larger metric…so why are they ignoring the ending result of the NET?
