Reminded today of the importance of people in leadership positions being open about navigating their (professional) lives with disabilities if they can, because speaking up really can empower others.

THIS. I find this so valuable from others, and a while ago I started noting at the outset of meetings when I was in chronic flare up and so may be a little slow or need to finish early. I’ve been struck by how many PhD students and other ECRs have thanked me for setting a tone where that’s ok.
