That’s a good question because I was confounded that teenage boys weren’t initially recommended to get the HPV vaccine (though that’s changed in the past few years, unsure exactly when). So, I’m guessing there will be a lag in benefit to young men.

My son is 27 and it was recommended that he receive it when he was a young teen. Glad we made that choice.

OB/Gyn doc here. The vax also shows decreased progression to serious lesions. Decreased anal cancer. In males, most upper GI HPV cancers are in heavy tobacco and etoh users. Btw cannabis kills HPV in vitro.
