Bouncing from grommr was one of the best things I ever did for my mental health. Led to some shitty places.

Totally- there was someone who was spreading shit around me bc I call that out, so I went straight to him and he was like well I don’t like people policing bad behavior. Red flag. When you confront people for being shitty, they can’t defend themselves without looking shitty.

EXACTLY!!!! This is way more concise of how I was trying to describe it. People like to call it a "community" but it is nothing of the sort.

I am still attending the Gromoff in a few months, & I hope that it'll be different because its actually people committing to meet & interact, but we'll see.

I got fed up with Grommr in the end, less because of the community (at the risk of being unpopular, on the whole I think the folk there are fine) and more because of the attitude of the admins and the failure of the site to modernise.

Don’t get me wrong, still plenty of good guys despite many who aren’t, so no judgement there- but also that is a great point. Lots of issues with the site overall. It’s a mess!
