Oh, you weren't around to download my update so I did it for you. Your isp only gave me about 20gb before they started throttling me so it's half done, but thankfully it'll only take two weeks to finish downloading so it'll be done in time for next month's update.

YES like lowkey motivation to play the damn game because it's like I spent so much time downloading and clearing space for you and you're taking real estate that could be used for other games ...........................
There is a trend towards putting all assets into one or a few huge archives, so updates can use a lot of space temporarily to be applied. Steam handles it alright with delta updates but I think the Windows Store/Gamepass still redownload the entire changed file, making the problem even worse.
